The first event of the summer will be a sporting one! From 5 to 8 July, the Méribel Golf Cup will welcome around sixty participants: 15 teams, each comprising one professional player and three amateurs. The first day will be dedicated to practice and tee off with a friendly welcome cocktail reception. Then it’s time for the competition! Each day, players will compete in a variety of formats: shamble, 4BMB and scramble. Between holes, you can enjoy barbecues and gourmet breaks organised right on the course. The tournament will conclude with an awards ceremony and a closing cocktail reception. Don’t miss this nationally renowned event on one of Europe’s most beautiful high-altitude courses!
Get ready for a brand-new challenge! From 10 to 12 July, discover the Méribel Hybrid Games for the very first time. This extraordinary sporting event combines CrossFit, running and Hyrox for two days of intense competition in the heart of the mountains. It’s set to be a tough programme! On Saturday, test your mettle first thing in the morning with a CrossFit event open to all, before setting off in the afternoon on a run linking the Altiport to the summit of the Col de la Loze. On Sunday, round off this weekend of personal bests with a Hyrox session. Between events, you can enjoy the partners’ village and the electric atmosphere created by the entertainment, the DJ and the sports presenter.
The warm months are not just about sport…this summer in Méribel promises to be full of creativity and bold ideas! From 15 to 17 July, the “Surprenant Festival” (literally the festival of surprises), invites you to explore an artistic world off the beaten track, right in the heart of the mountains. Over three days, music and the performing arts blend to offer a highly original exploration of art and the environment. Here, nature becomes both a
stage and a source of inspiration, bringing to life unexpected and captivating artistic creations.
Ranging across the valley’s iconic locations, from the Altiport forest to le Plantin, every moment becomes an immersive experience. A unique event where the imagination is awakened and every discovery holds its own share of surprises.
On 19 July, cycling enthusiasts are set to take on a challenge that is as demanding as it is iconic. Linking Brides-les-Bains and Méribel, this famous climb attracts seasoned riders and amateurs alike, all in search of a thrill. With its seamingly endless hairpin bends, varying gradients and daunting sections, the Col de la Loze really puts everyone to the test whilst offering spectacular panoramic views. Several route options are available to suit all levels: 30km, 46km, 53km and 117km.
From 21 to 23 July, treat yourself to a peaceful getaway in the mountains with Zen Altitude. This outdoor wellness retreat is designed to help you slow down and refocus. With yoga sessions, breathwork classes, relaxing treatments and soothing walks, each day offers the chance to release tension and reconnect with what really matters. The varied activities, from creative workshops to relaxing treatments, cater to all tastes. Whether on your own, with family or friends, this is the perfect opportunity to recharge your batteries in an exceptional natural setting.
Méribel is being transformed into a veritable vertical playground to host the French Enduro Mountain Bike Cup. From 24 to 26 July, France’s top riders will gather to tackle a series of technical stages deep in the mountains. An intense sporting event where thrills are guaranteed on every descent!
From 28 to 30 July, get ready for a spectacular show and an adrenaline rush at FISE District in Méribel Mottaret. Freestyle culture takes to the mountains for three days packed with BMX and urban disciplines. On specially installed features, professional riders will perform a series of tricks and impressive demonstrations. Several sessions each day will offer a dynamic show that’s accessible to everyone. Between performances, the public can learn the basics alongside the riders in a friendly and
festive atmosphere. A spectacular event in the heart of the mountains, where you can experience all the energy of extreme sports.
Immerse yourself in local traditions at the Fête à Fanfoué. “Fanfoué” means Francois in the local dialect and this village festival has long been a highlight as well as the most authentic summer event in Méribel.
On the weekend of 1 and 2 August, the Allues Valley comes alive with the traditions of yesteryear: parades, costumes, traditional dancing, songs and music…the mountain horns are really something! Local associations will also be part of this festive occasion, offering a host of activities open to locals and visitors alike. From craft demonstrations and local gastronomic specialities to moments of shared laughter, everyone can discover the region’s rich culture. A warm and lively immersive experience, not to be missed if you want to savour the soul of the valley.
On 5 and 6 August, look up to the skies and let yourself be guided through the mysteries of the heavens at the Méribel Astronomy Festival. Young and old alike are invited to explore the universe through a wide range of activities suitable for everyone. With fun workshops, constellation identification and opportunities to discuss and exchange ideas, everyone can discover the secrets of the stars. As night falls, the magic begins with telescope viewing sessions and fascinating talks. Day or night, an engaging experience to keep your head in the stars.
The Méribel Trail welcomes mountain running enthusiasts from 7 to 9 August!
Ranging from 10 to 50 km, the routes wind through forests, ridges and high-altitude landscapes, making the event a benchmark for alpine trail running. Set in the heart of the Vanoise massif, the routes ranging from 10 to 50 km are technically demanding and offer exceptional views up to an altitude of nearly 2,800 metres. Between ridges and forests, everyone can take on the challenge at their own pace.
New this year, the “Nocturne des Crêtes” kicks off the festivities on Friday evening. This semi-night race, to be run solo or in pairs, promises a unique experience
Méribel Mottaret will host the French Vertical Kilometer Championships on 8 August. On a demanding course of 2.7 km with 1,000 metres of elevation gain, participants will set off every 20 seconds to tackle this formidable climb. A short but highly intense effort, reserved for those who love a proper climb. From 12 noon, enjoy a friendly get-together over lunch, followed by the prize-giving ceremony in the early afternoon.
Méribel transforms into a giant open-air stage for the Circus Festival, from 10 to 12 August. The programme features juggling, acrobatics and fire acts to delight young and old alike. Alongside the performances, workshops will offer an introduction to the circus arts and magic. Three days to rediscover your inner child, filled with wonder and amazement.
From 14 to 16 August, Méribel will host the second edition of the Cyclo Challenge for a weekend entirely dedicated to high-altitude cycling. Organised by the “Club des Sports de Méribel”, the event offers the chance to tackle two iconic passes in the 3 Vallées: the Col de la Loze and the Col de Tougnète. Open to both amateurs and experienced cyclists, the routes promise a challenge, the chance to push your limits and exceptional views. An intense experience to share with fellow enthusiasts.
Professionals and amateurs will come together from 17 to 21 August for a unique event combining competitive play and camaraderie: the Pro-Am. Over five days, 30 teams—each comprising one professional player and three amateurs—will take to one of Europe’s most beautiful mountain courses. In a light-hearted and inclusive spirit, the event celebrates the gathering of players of different abilities.
From 22 to 24 August, Méribel will host Enduro 2, an international mountain bike and e-MTB race contested by teams of two. Participants will tackle a series of descents through the Bike Park trails before reaching the Chaudanne plateau. This demanding format puts teamwork, skill and endurance to the test. Combining speed, riding ability and team spirit, Enduro 2 promises non-stop excitement against a spectacular alpine backdrop. An unmissable event for mountain bike enthusiasts.
