That's it. Summer is already coming to an end.

Hard to admit, but real life is already creeping back in, and we’re still wondering how the summer flew by so fast. So many adventures, shared emotions and standout events have shaped this season that it’s bound to stay with us for a long time. Before we turn the page for good and dive into winter, let’s take a moment to look back on the season and relive some of its best moments together.

And because we know the return to routine is never easy… we’ve saved a little surprise for the end of the article.

Events that had you buzzing all summer long

Méribel Hybrid Games

A first edition is never forgotten, and this one set the bar high. Early in the season, more than 300 athletes from far and wide climbed to the Col de la Loze before tackling every station of a full HYROX course, at over 1,800 metres above sea level. Between the DJ, the announcer and the crowds who turned out in force, this first edition is one to remember.

Fête à Fanfoué

As it does every year on the first weekend of August, the village of Les Allues opened the doors to its history for a weekend. Through its narrow streets, tradition came alive to the sound of alphorn players, flower-decked floats and costumes from another era. The smell of freshly baked bread mingled with bursts of laughter, while the art exhibition and village dance invited everyone to slow down, reconnect and celebrate what gives this village its soul.

A trail weekend to remember

Méribel Trail / Nocturne des Crêtes / Kilomètre Vertical

The trails were covered in race numbers for one of summer’s great sporting dates. New to this edition, the Nocturne des Crêtes opened proceedings in style: 22 kilometres traced along the high ridgeline, with the sunset as a backdrop. Runners swapped the heat of the afternoon for the blazing light of evening, their silhouettes dancing along the ridge, framed against summits set ablaze.

To spice things up further, the Kilomètre Vertical joined the party too: 1,000 metres of elevation gain packed into under 4 kilometres, one of the toughest challenges some runners had ever faced.

Between this vertical challenge, the Méribel Trail and the Nocturne des Crêtes, it was a real pleasure to welcome you all for a few days built around a shared passion. A weekend where seasoned athletes and newcomers came together to push their limits side by side, all chasing the same feeling: testing themselves against the Alps’ great summits.

We also took the time to slow down

Because summer in Méribel isn’t only about race numbers and stopwatches. For three days, Zen Altitude set a different tone: yoga, breathwork and treatments in the heart of nature, a chance to catch your breath between two big events. Hotel spas welcomed those looking to unwind, yoga mats were laid out facing the summits, and Lac de Tuéda became the go-to spot for anyone who preferred a gentle stroll to a steep climb.

No mention of Lac de Tuéda would be complete without a word for Thibaut, who brought the Maison de la Réserve de Tuéda to life all season long. Between exhibitions, activities and guided wildlife walks, he’s encouraged more than a few visitors to see the mountain in a different light.

The cure for the September blues

Faced with the grey of September, one thought already helps: in just a few short months, winter will be back. The resort reopens on 5 December 2026, and bookings are already open, with some excellent early offers for those quick enough to grab them.

And so, the curtain slowly falls on summer 2026. We ran, we climbed, we cycled, but we also caught our breath and took the time to savour the present moment. If this season stays with us, it’s mostly down to you. So thank you: thank you for being here, thank you for every smile we watched appear on your faces, and thank you for making Méribel this magical, season after season. We hope it left its mark on you the way it did on us.

In short, we’ve lived the mountain in all its moods. What comes next? It’s already being written behind the scenes, as Méribel gets ready to slip into its white winter coat. We can’t wait to see you there.
