Professionals from the Meribel Guides office suggest an original creative activity to introduce you to rescue techniques in winter conditions.
You like to practice skiing and more generally the mountain in winter. We propose to introduce you to the knowledge of the snowpack and avalanche rescue and research techniques.
The objectives of this initiation:
A guide, mountain professional, will give you the rules of safety and behavior in the face of an avalanche
He will introduce you to the safety pack, which is essential for anyone who moves off the slopes, including a DVA (Avalanche Victim Detector), a shovel and a probe.
You will participate in a scenario with avalanche research exercises.
The word of the guide:
I will explain the basic mechanisms of avalanches by helping you identify the different layers of the snowpack.
