Program for a weekend of pure relaxation

January 23, 2023

Who hasn't wanted to break away from the daily routine and go to new places?

Whether it’s for a weekend or for a few days, a change of scenery is a great way to get away from it all. And the mountains are a dream destination for a rejuvenating break in close proximity to nature.

With its soothing landscapes and its sports, leisure and gastronomic activities, Méribel is an ideal resort to slow down and think of only one thing: your well-being.

So it’s decided: head for the fresh snow, the sun and the blue mountain sky for your next weekend.

So that you can get a feel for what’s in store, we’ve come up with a program of luxurious relaxation to share with your partner or friends.

Saturday at 9am: breakfast with a view of the mountains

After a restful night, the sun’s rays are coming through the curtains of the room.

It’s time to wake up and go to the terrace or balcony to have breakfast. Coffee and tea are served and fresh pastries are placed on the table.

All that’s left to do is wake up to a view of the premium snow-covered peaks.

Then it’s time to get ready for a day of skiing. Coat and pants on, ski boots on.

Don’t forget the sun cream which will be a precious ally throughout your weekend in Méribel.

Saturday at 10am: skiing on the sunny side

For a 100% relaxing weekend, ski passes can be booked in advance. This will allow you to fully enjoy your stay and the slopes. Once you have your ski pass, head for the gondolas to make your first descent.

To start the morning off right, take the Tougnète gondola and stop at Tougnète 2. Go down the Crêtes and Faon slopes before joining the Perdrix slope which goes down through Méribel-Mottaret.

Enjoy the width of the slopes and the freshly groomed snow under your skis. Then, take the Truite slope to go back to Méribel-Centre or take the shuttle bus back from the “Mottaret-Office de Tourisme” stop.

Top tip: if you go up to Tougnète 2, you will have a front row seat for the Alpine World Ski Championships from February 6th to 19th 2023. Indeed, the famous Roc de Fer slope will welcome the best female skiers of the world and a fan zone will be installed on the edge of the slope.

Saturday at 1pm: a gourmet break by the slope

After a morning of skiing, you’re feeling hungry.

Several restaurants and snack bars are located right on the slopes. The smell of hot food will whet your appetite.

On a sunny terrace, get your strength back in a convivial and friendly atmosphere.

Saturday at 2pm: skiing in the sun with beautiful panoramas

With a full stomach, it's time to hit the slopes!

We advise you to go to the Col de la Loze to enjoy the sunny side of the slopes all afternoon.

If you have a 3 Vallées ski pass, go to the Lac Creux slope and take the Chanrossa chairlift. You will arrive at the Col de Chanrossa and you will be at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park with beautiful views.

If you want to have fun on the ski area of the Méribel Valley, go down from the Col de la Loze by the Pic bleu slope. Deckchairs are waiting for you at the edge of the slope for a relaxing moment in the sun.

Saturday at 5pm: après-ski, window-shopping and a stroll

Before going back to your accommodation, take the time to stroll in the streets of Méribel-Centre.

Maybe stop to listen to the fabulous live music in one of the many après-ski venues.

For the gourmets, it is the opportunity to discover the Savoyard sweets.

For the more energetic, head for the activities of the Olympic Park.

Saturday at 6pm: time to relax

To end the day in complete serenity, relax in a space where only your well-being counts. Let time stand still and enjoy the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.

Moreover, some accommodation offers outdoor spaces dedicated to well-being with a view of the surrounding mountains at night. A great way to disconnect from reality.

Saturday at 8pm: dinner in a restaurant of the resort

Whether you prefer raclette, tartiflette, Savoyard fondue, homemade burger or pizza cooked on a wood-fire, the resort’s restaurants will make your mouth water.

If you are spending your weekend with your partner, choose a cosy and intimate setting and let yourself be seduced by the Savoyard dishes to be shared without moderation.

If you are staying with your friends, the festive atmosphere of the resort’s bars offering sharing platters will liven up your evening.

Sunday at 10am: hike amongst the fir trees

Parce qu’un week-end déconnexion passe aussi par des moments en pleine nature

Because a relaxing weekend also includes time in the countryside, head for the Altiport via the hamlet of Morel. This itinerary is very enjoyable since it combines forest paths and with mountain views glades.

The route has sunny parts and can be done on foot or with snowshoes depending on the snow conditions.

When you reach the top of the path, enjoy the lovely view of the Méribel Valley. And to recharge your batteries, opt for a picnic with local ingredients freshly bought in the morning.

To go back down, you can opt for the shuttle towards La Chaudanne.

Do get in touch with the Tourist Office to know the state of the trails before you start.

Sunday at 2pm: 100% relaxation and massage

To release the muscular pressure of the hike and for a moment of pure relaxation, treat yourself to a massage. For two or alone, take advantage of the spa and massage professionals present in the resort.

During this weekend dedicated to relaxation, pamper yourself with new treatments or try different massage techniques. Californian, shiatsu, sports, relaxing, at home…choose the massage that suits you.

Sunday at 5:00 pm: it's time to pack up and hit the road

You leave with your batteries recharged and with some beautiful memories. This break from everyday life has done you a world of good.

Did this program whet your appetite? Then don’t wait any longer and organise your next weekend in our resort!
