Imagine a July morning in Méribel. The sun is beginning to warm the mountain tops, and the air smells of pine resin and fresh grass. You’re having your coffee on the terrace, the children wake up asking what’s on the agenda today, and for once, the answer is simple: whatever we fancy!

Enjoying all the valley’s activities without having to get your wallet out at every turn: that’s the promise of the “Pass Explorateur”.

One pass, one valley, endless possibilities

The “Pass Explorateur”, is your ticket to a great mountain holiday. Designed as an all-in-one package, valid for the entire duration of your stay, it gives you access to over 20 activities in the valley. Swimming pool, yoga, guided hikes, golf driving range, inflatable games and much more.

Unlimited use of the pedestrian ski lifts is also included, but an important point: this is valid only in the Méribel valley. So many experiences freely available, without having to think about the cost of each one.

What the pass really changes is your mindset. No more weighing up every outing, wondering if it’s worth it and instinctively dampening the children’s enthusiasm. And what if they fall in love with an activity and want to do it again? No problem – the pass allows you to take part in each activity as many times as you like!

3 days or 6 days: the right length for every trip

The 3-day pass

Ideal for a long weekend, a first visit to the valley, or a short break. Three days are enough to experience the essentials at a leisurely pace, without missing out on anything that matters.

The 6-day pass

The full-week option. The option that lets you take your time, let each day unfold as you wish, and revisit your favourite activities. For an extra €30, you double the duration: the choice is obvious for a week-long stay.

In practical terms, what would your day be like with the pass?

With around twenty activities to choose from and a few days ahead of you, there’s just one question: where to start?
Let these two sample itineraries guide you – they could well be your own.

A day of pure enjoyment

Start your day in the best possible way with a guided hike: immerse yourself in the stories and secrets of the Alpine flora and fauna that the guide reveals along the way. In the afternoon, head to the golf driving range at an altitude of 1,500 metres, with 40 tees, for a relaxing break that offers a change from the trails.

The day ends at its own pace, just as it began. The pool to unwind, or simply the pleasure of not having to decide anything. A packed, varied day, and not a penny out of your pocket.

A day of family activities

The morning begins at the indoor swimming pool in the Parc Olympique; the children have a go on the slides, whilst the parents swim a few lengths. Around 11am, we take the pedestrian ski lifts from Méribel Centre to gain some altitude. At the top, the view opens out over the ridges, and a picnic takes on a whole new flavour at 2,000 metres.

In the afternoon, we head to Mottaret for tubing and the Big Air Bag: a paradise for the little ones. By late afternoon, everyone has well and truly earned a drink on one of our terraces still basking in the sunshine. A day where everyone found something to enjoy, without having to count the costs.

The pass goes further with partner discounts

Is your favourite activity not included in the pass? Don’t worry. The “Pass Explorateur” offers more than just the included activities. It also opens up a world of possibilities with a 15% discount at selected partners.

For fans of white-water activities, you’ll be able to tackle the rapids by raft or hydro-speed at a reduced price. Cycling enthusiasts will also find what they’re looking for at a number of partner rental companies offering e-MTB hire.

For families with young children who wish to explore the valley at their own pace, the “Pass Explorateur” offers the chance to hire downhill scooters and bike trailers at a lower rate.
