Traditional festival at the Allues oven

The Fête du Four is an emblematic event that takes place every year in the charming Savoy village of Les Allues. This traditional event, with its roots in local history and culture, is the ideal opportunity to discover Savoy’s heritage in all its richness and diversity.

The bread oven, at the heart of the event, is a powerful symbol of the daily life of the inhabitants of yesteryear. The program includes a wide range of events and activities, enabling visitors to relive the gestures of yesteryear: baking bread over a wood fire, a tradition handed down from generation to generation.

In addition to craft demonstrations, the festival is a veritable sensory voyage through the flavors of the land. Local producers and artisans set up stands where you can taste and buy typical Savoyard cheeses, mountain charcuterie, homemade jams and, of course, regional wines. It’s also an opportunity to savour the famous mountain bread, freshly baked in the traditional oven, accompanied by local produce.

Throughout the evening, the Alluétaise folk group will entertain the Place du Four, providing a warm and festive atmosphere. The traditional music, with its dances and songs, adds to the authenticity of the event and invites you to discover mountain traditions.
