Skiing as a family in the world’s largest ski area

Of all the top family winter activities in Méribel, our skiing activities are obviously the first to spring to mind! Why? Quite simply because you are in the heart of the 3 Valleys with a ski area designed for families. Méribel ski resort has everything in place to provide an unforgettable experience for the whole family, in which everyone can flourish and have a great time:

  • Ski and snowboard courses and lessons for all levels are run by our schools and instructors;
  • Little ones aged 18 months to 3 years old can discover the snow through games at “les Saturnins” nursery. Children aged 3 to 5 can learn to ski in a fun way at “Piou Piou” ski school, under the constant supervision of ski instructors;
  • Fun slopes with different themes for all ages and regular events in the ski area for the whole family to enjoy;

And if you need a break between runs, there are comfortable picnic rooms and chalets along the slopes.

Do you like being on the snow but don’t ski? No problem! Méribel has lots of fun activities to do in winter with your family:

  • Dedicated sledging slopes, away from skiers, where you can have fun in complete safety. Try the Black Forest adventure : 3.4 km sledge run on snow, descending 470m with 28 corners.
  • Have a go at winter sports you’ve never done before like skijoring or fat biking: fun and original activities to do as a family!

Spending a family holiday in Méribel means enjoying a picture-postcard setting, fresh air and breathtaking snowy landscapes. So it’s only natural that we provide nature and outdoor activities to do as a family during the winter holidays. Little ones will love going on a pony-sledge ride, while teenagers looking for a thrill will enjoy a snowmobile ride or paragliding with a spectacular view of the 3 Valleys. And the whole family can admire the French Alps’ sumptuous landscapes on a snowshoe hike or by taking part in “Explor Games”, a unique geocaching experience in the heart of Vanoise National Park, where you have to solve riddles to complete the quest!
