That's it, the long-awaited moment has arrived: you're in Méribel 🤩

With slopes to hit, off-slope activities and breathtaking scenery, your holiday is sure to be magical.

So that you can make the most of every moment we’ve put together a summary of our best tips so that you can avoid the little hassles of everyday life. Transport, parking, ski passes, activities… Everything you need to make your stay unforgettable.

Tip #1: Travel, access and parking

To get your stay off to a good start and make the most of Méribel, remember to plan your travel and parking. The resort offers a number of car parks, some of which are reserved for guests staying at certain accommodation. You can also book a covered parking space online for a minimum of two days, giving you peace of mind (bookings must be made at least five days in advance).

To get around the resort, you can take advantage of the free shuttle buses that serve the entire area. They make it easy to reach the different neighbourhoods and ski lifts without having to worry about traffic.

If you are coming by car, remember to check road conditions in real time and make sure you are equipped with snow tyres or chains in accordance with the Mountain Law. For motorhome enthusiasts, a dedicated area is available at Le Raffort for safe parking.

Tip #2: Concierge service and ski storage

Depending on your type of accommodation, you can benefit from a private concierge service: managing arrivals and departures, personalised advice and practical services to make your stay easier. A real bonus for saving time and maximising your enjoyment while you’re there.

If your accommodation does not offer this service, there are alternative solutions, such as the ski storage facility located in La Chaudanne, under the Saulire Express cable car. Convenient and well located, it allows you to leave your equipment in complete safety for €9.50 per day per locker (equipment for up to 3 people). This means you don’t have to carry your skis around and can start each day with peace of mind.

Tip #3: Strategic locations, shops and services

Once you have settled into your accommodation, take a few minutes to locate the key points that will make your stay easier. The nearest lifts, food shops, shuttle bus stops and other useful services: knowing where they are from the outset will save you time every day.

To help you, consult the Village Map available on our website. Clear and practical, it will allow you to quickly understand the layout of the resort and optimise your travel throughout your stay.

Tip #4: Nurseries and other child care options

Are you staying in Méribel with children who are too young to ski? Don’t worry, the resort offers several suitable solutions to allow you to enjoy your stay to the full.

  • For younger children, you can access a list of qualified babysitters on the Méribel website. From childcare for toddlers to teenagers, there are many people available to suit your needs and schedule. Please note: for children under 18 months, home childcare is the only option available.
  • Children aged 18 months to 3 years can be looked after at the Les Saturnins daycare centre, run by the École du Ski Français and located within the Parc Olympique. Supervised by early childhood professionals, they are gently introduced to the snow through games, sliding, sledging and a first taste of skiing.
  • Finally, our various ski schools also welcome children aged 3 to 5 for a gradual and fun introduction to skiing, designed to learn while having fun.

Tip #5: Piste map, snow conditions and weather

Before putting on your boots, it’s essential to have the right information. Which slopes are open? What’s the weather like in the resort? Where can you find a map of Les 3 Vallées? Or how do you get to Les Menuires or Val Thorens from Méribel? These are all questions that skiers and snowboarders ask themselves when planning their day.

To access all this information in real time, we recommend downloading the Les 3 Vallées app. It allows you to check which slopes and lifts are open, view the weather and resort maps, and organise your movements between the different resorts more easily. A handy tool for enjoying the ski area with complete peace of mind.

Tip #6: Reservation and collection of lift passes

Are you planning to ski or board during your stay in Méribel? To save time and enjoy the slopes as soon as you arrive, consider booking your lift passes online.

On arrival days or during busy periods, you may have to wait a few minutes at the sales offices. By choosing to buy online, you can avoid these queues and get to the ski lifts more quickly to start your day’s skiing or boarding without any stress. Once you have made your reservation, you can collect your passes directly from the outdoor terminals, depending on the pass you have chosen.

⚠️ Please note: lift passes cannot be collected from the Tourist Information Office.

Tip #7: Restaurants et activities

Méribel has an abundance of varied restaurants, ranging from local specialities to more international options. But be warned, these places are very popular, especially in high season! To be sure of a delicious meal, it is strongly recommended that you book your table in advance.

This advice also applies to any non-skiing activities you may wish to try, such as snowshoeing, horse-drawn carriage rides or other leisure activities on offer. By planning your outings in advance, you can make the most of everything Méribel has to offer, without wasting time or finding yourself faced with a fully booked activity.
